Terms of Service
These terms cover the Graves app for Mac, Graves for iPhone, Graves accounts and this website. Graves is made by Volition and operated by Artifactory, Inc. ("we").
#The short version
- Graves is new. It's provided as it is, and it will change.
- On a Mac, your agents act for you. You decide what you ask them to do, and you're responsible for it.
- Graves for iPhone is for adults, and its answers come from an AI. You must be 18 or older, and answers can be wrong.
- Your AI providers and services have their own terms. You sign in to them yourself, and their terms and charges apply to you.
- Your work is yours. We don't claim anything you or your agents make.
#Using Graves
By installing Graves or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Graves. For the Mac app and this website, you must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. For Graves for iPhone, you must be at least 18; the app asks you to confirm that before your first message. If you use Graves for an organization, you're agreeing for it.
You may use Graves on your own Macs and your own iPhone. Graves' source code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0, which governs the code itself; these terms cover the app we distribute and the services we run. Graves includes software from others, each under its own license, listed in the app's NOTICE and license files.
#Your agents act for you (Mac)
Graves for Mac runs AI agents on your Mac that can read files, use apps and websites, and send messages when you ask. AI makes mistakes. Check important work, and don't rely on an agent alone for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. You're responsible for what you ask your agents to do and for what they do on your behalf, including messages they send and purchases they make.
Don't use Graves to break the law, to harm, harass or deceive anyone, to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, or to send spam.
#Graves for iPhone
Graves for iPhone is a chat and planning app. You sign in with an emailed code, talk to an AI model, keep your conversations, turn one into a saved plan, and set preferences that shape its answers. It has no agent and does not act on your Mac, send messages, run code or do anything outside the app. To answer, your messages go through OpenRouter to an AI model provider, as the app's consent screen lists; our privacy policy says what we keep. You must agree on that screen before the app sends anything.
Answers come from an AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable, and they are not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Check anything that matters, and don't rely on an answer alone for decisions about health, money, the law or safety. You're responsible for what you do with an answer.
Acceptable use. Besides the rules above, don't use Graves for iPhone to create or ask for sexual content involving minors, content that promotes violence, self-harm or hatred, or content meant to harass, threaten or deceive someone; don't try to get around its safety checks or usage limits, or to extract the instructions or model behind it; and don't send anything you have no right to share. Messages and answers are checked by an automated safety filter, and we may limit, suspend or close an account that misuses the service. You can report any answer in the app, and we review reports.
Usage limits. Graves for iPhone is free, with limits on how much you can send each minute, day and month. We may change the limits or stop the service.
Deleting your account. In Graves for iPhone, Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account and all its conversations, plans, preferences and reports. You can also delete a conversation, a plan or your preferences on their own, and withdraw AI processing consent in Settings.
#Your AI providers and services
Graves works with AI providers, such as Anthropic and OpenAI, and other services, under your own accounts. Your use of them is between you and them: their terms, usage limits and charges apply. We aren't responsible for those services or for what they do with what you send them.
#Your Graves account
An account is optional on a Mac and required for Graves for iPhone. If you make one, give your real name and an email address you can use, and keep access to that email to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, in either app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
#Your work and ours
What you create with Graves, and what your agents make for you, is yours. Graves' name, logo and look belong to us. How we handle information is in our privacy policy.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Graves, with no obligation to you.
#Updates and changes
Graves updates itself to fix problems and add features. We may change or stop parts of Graves, or Graves as a whole. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using Graves after that means you accept the new terms.
#No warranty
Graves is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
#Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of Graves. Our total liability for any claim about Graves is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
#Ending
You can stop using Graves at any time by removing the app and, if you have one, deleting your account (in Settings). These sections continue after you stop: your work and ours, no warranty, and limits on liability.
